BEEN MIA

So let me explain a little…

I have been MIA for the better part of 6 months. Needless to say Spring quarter was my most challenging yet. I had more than a full course load along with a myriad of disappointments and personal stuff.

I thought I had dealt with my fair share of unexpected obstacles after slip happens, but life had more in store.

I had so much on my plate and unfortunately the blog had to suffer so that I could focus and get back on track.

All in all everything has worked out wonderfully, I completed the year with a 4.0, well 3.96 but we round up over here!

I have funding for most of the year (2019-20) now (long story, coming soon!), and I’ve had an awesome internship over the summer where I’m learning a ton. I’m TA’ing (Teaching Assistant) this Fall and I will be working on my own grant funded project!

Things are truly looking up and this quarter will undoubtedly be a busy one (so expect a post every other week if not weekly).

I am dealing with the crazy year I’ve had the best way I know how, with the Lord and therapy (can I get an Amen!) both have been a blessing!

I’m working on forgiving myself for the unattainable expectations I often have (hello perfectionist) and I am moving forward recognizing I am human and CANNOT do it all no matter how hard I may try or want to, and that’s OK.

And with that we begin…

Year 2!
